How it all started?
Albert Bester – Owner
Collecting and Restoring vintage vehicles since 1971.

It all started with a love for cars. Bertie Bester bought his first vintage car at the age of 16. This was the start of an obsession with all things vintage. Spending holidays looking out for vintage car parts in scrap yards and dry riverbeds throughout South Africa and Namibia, became the norm for the Bester family. In the 1980’s, Bertie was the biggest vintage Ford car collector in the Southern hemisphere. It became too time-consuming to maintain all these show pieces and he decided to sell a large number of cars and only kept the ones he felt passionate about. Bertie’s son Albert has the same passion for vintage cars and knows each car’s rich history. He wanted to continue with his father’s legacy and so the idea for Nassau classics was born.
